It was just another ordinary Thursday afternoon, just like every other Thursday when we meet together to learn the Words of God. It was just four of us as some friends could not joint us. This afternoon we were supposed to continue learning about Nehemiah. This section has been delaying for about a month now.
However, when we were about to start, a friend said with joy “hey, my prayer has been answered!” Then she started sharing…and followed with other stories. Then we realized that all stories were about God’s answers to our prayers.

About our prayer for God’s blessing to the women’s retreat which has been held last week…
About our prayer for God’s provision to baby Natasha, who will undergo the major operation due to her heart defect next week…
About a dream came true for another friend…
All stories blessed each one of us. We were overflowing with joy. Speechless in awe, to once again see and feel the great love of God to us.
God answered all those prayers even better than what we asked. His answers are always bigger, wiser and nicer than our prayers. We always know about it. But time and time again God let us to refresh our mind and heart with this “nice gift.”
“Before I went to the retreat last week, I remember our friend told us in one Thursday afternoon ‘I am working for God and He is my Big boss. So, He will be responsible for my life’ that day I remembered it and made it as my prayer. I knew He will do something. And He did!”
“Before God brought my dream to alive, I had been in some difficult situation. There was in the midst of it, God gave me this nice gift…How wonderful!”
“I am wondering to see how fast God answers our prayers… Incredible!”
“He is so good and always good to us… praise the Lord!”
Those are the statements from us this afternoon, about how Great our God is.
This afternoon, we understood the Holy Spirit just wanted us to share, remember His lovingkindness, His faithfulness and be thankful for the great things He has done. So, this time we put aside our lesson about Nehemiah, we will learn about it later in the next meeting. This time, we prayed… just prayed, gave thanks to Him…
Later after the meeting, I just realized that today is thanksgiving day… we have no party here but we just lifted up our thankful heart in our thankful prayer in this small office, and we overflowed with joy!
God is so good…all the time!
